Highs & Falls

Overview

A great combination of two of Argentina’s absolute highlights: Iguazu Falls & the lesser known Puna. For an other-worldly experience we believe you have to visit the Puna, Argentina’s high altitude desert. It is one of the remotest environments on the planet (puna is a Quechua word meaning “a cold and remote place difficult to live in”), made up of an interconnected system of volcanic cones and giant lava outcrops, alongside other weird and wonderful geological features. Pink flamingos set against such a stupendous back drop is an extraordinary sight to behold. Basic accommodation on some nights is more than made up for by the ridiculous scenery. A sense of adventure and a head for heights is required for this extraordinarily diverse self drive.
